Lazuili is a young looking descendant of the Avoral, while she carries the full array of feathers and jointed wings, she does not carry the ability to fly as a pure blooded Avoral. She appears much more robin like then others of her kind, she is often found in the Institute of Lecherous Learning working on managing day to day actives, as well as research projects that are officially sponsored.
She finds time to visit the shrine to Mystrass where she acts as head priestess, performing rituals and rites as well as expressing her own devotions and prayers.
History
Lazuli was early on her exploration of the Paradisium when she was taken in by the Keepers of the Starseed, having been of a religious calling before she entered the worship of the Mistress with a full heart. After much studying, she was quickly approaching the day of her vow and initiation when she was caught up in the events that lead to the Fall of the Keepers, an innocent bystander watching what she thought of as sanctuary is breached and destroyed, while listening to the respect Reverend Mother Selina speak of the great conspiracy of Consumption.
Lost and confused, not following any of the cults that began to form she looked for her own way, a new purpose. In her dreams, she would hear whisperings of the deity, Mistress, Mystra, Myrtrass, it was hard to make out, Mystra was who she worshiped before coming to Paradisium, the Mistress was who she was lead to believe, but, perhaps there was a mistake, a misunderstanding, a deity that was corrupted into the Mistress, Mystrass. Knowledge. Understanding. Magic.
She felt a pull as she thought upon the Mystrass, a pull to the Library of Carnal Knowledge, and she followed that pull. She set up an office there, studied the tomes, prayed, and searched for what had been pulling her. Then one day, the Cathedral collapsed further, sending a tremor thorough Market Town, one that went mostly unnoticed but, in the Library a satchel of journals and maps fells before Lazuli, in these long forgotten maps and writings were evidence that the Library of Carnal Knowledge was but one part of a larger institute for learning.
Following this divine revelation, she gathered funds, and hired a construction and dig team to investigate. The first discovery was the ancient library, entrance, hidden behind a newer wall that concealed a far older front lobby then the one previously known. Using that door to excavate a tunnel, the dig team came upon a magical shield, and beyond it, the institute.
Discovering from the journals that the institute was somehow secured by the activation of spells, and that only the return of the original crests would allow permanent entry, she hired teams of adventurers to seek out the crests. Successful, the last matter was dealing with the dangers within the shield to set the crests into place, and once that was done, an artificial sun sprung to life, and the hostilities ceased.
It took funding, another excavation team and architects to clean out, and resupply the Institute of Lecherous Learning before it could open its door. While there were plans to renovate the Institute Grounds, the magical sun seemed to be sufficient to burn away the dead plants, and new plants started to grow, and establishing the Wizarding Towers, the finger like structures jutting from the ground as housing and workspaces, she opened the doors to students, taking position as the first Headmistress.
