Psychedelic Sands

Just past the frigid FrostVeil Tundra, a vast land of seemingly endless sand, bright, blazing days and cold, unforgiving nights resides, greeting all with an air of deadly mystique. Giant, colorful crystals of frozen fire jut out the ground, long fissures and geysers litter the land, clouds of iridescent, colorful smoke gushing from them endlessly, while pillars of cyclic, shooting fire kiss the cavern ceiling , the force of which brings about mighty storms of sand and fire as they breach the land. Caves and cliffs throughout the area act as homes for wandering tribes, formed by the resident Beastfolk who have learned to work with the land while combating other feral creatures, lack of resources and even each other. Within the center an oasis sits, housing the only form of civilization protected by large walls and armed guards, ensuring the city stands tall against the forces outside. Newcomers be wary, despite appearances, all is never what it seems and secrets lay all about: from the whispers on the wind to the unexplored depths below the sands…
