Belmora

From Paradisium Wiki

With access to the main source of water in the area, Belmora is a trading center bustling with life: from the lush greenery to the luxuries to the variety of the people. It is a beacon of refuge from the oppressive land, the residents in a near constant state of security and ease, despite the clashes outside the wall. Many here are much more welcoming to travelers and even encourage them to stay to enjoy a taste of good life within the city. Large, Arabesque palace like homes sit on the outer edges of city, hosing the influential and powerful, while the center holds most of the population with smaller but just of beautifully designed apartments, even the simple huts of the hermits have that lovely, decadent flair to them. Here, the residents find relief, resources and relaxation within the “Suqa Square”, Obsidian Sins and The Zarai Baths! These areas are most active during the late afternoon- early evening hours to avoid the oppressive heat and light that comes with the early day.

Notable Areas

Suqa Square
Suqa Square offers a variety of goods from food to local guides to escorts! The marketplace is most active in the evening hours to combat the oppressive heat of the main daylight hours. While Dezzies are accepted, trade is common here, particularly between tribes and citizens, all seeking goods that are not obtainable within the sands. One may even find tales of hidden treasures, temples, ancient champions, and legendary beasts that are scattered about the land, waiting for brave souls to discover them…

Obsidian Sins
Hidden away amongst the various alleyways and paths inside the market, sits a pair of smooth black doors golden accents all about it, fast paced drumming, cheering and laughter can be heard very clearly. Behind those doors reside a rather hypnotizing, lively, enchanting room: The patrons lounging about on beautifully carpeted and padded floor atop big comfortable pillows with expensive sheer fabrics hanging from the ceiling acting as walls for each booth. All of them carrying whimsical and carefree looks upon their faces, the atmosphere open and surprisingly intimate in the colorful, low lighting. The place is covered in beautiful pieces of hedonistic art, straight out of an erotic renaissance. A low cloud of smoke dominates the place with varying complimenting aromas as people indulge in hookahs, the sound of drums, flutes, tambourines, and other beautiful instruments rings in the air as belly dancers moving to the beat for a happily intoxicated crowd clapping their hands. Beyond the guarded veils off in the back corner of, a thin barrier of silence separates the bustling cheer of the Hookah Lounge from the hazy, heated, uninhibited orgies fuel by the strongest desires.. and maybe strongest batches of infused stone.
Zarai
Nestled within the center of the Oasis, sits Zarai, the lavished baths composed of large, imposing pillars and magnificent archways sits atop a long, flight of stairs, a thick ever-lingering cloud of sweet succubus venom sits all around the place. Guests are greeted by a caress of refreshingly warm air along their skin, the sounds of joyful carousing, hypnotic calls of music singing and the seemingly ever-present sounds of folks unfurling to carnal desires. The walls are lined with handmade mosaics of t̸̐̿h̵͘͝ě̵̃ ̵̧̉m̶͐͐ỉ̵̈s̶̉tres̀͠s̷͋͆: all kinds of striking interpretations from a fierce warrior posed in victory to a group lost in the throes of ecstasy to the gaze of a pair of awe-inspiring, humbling, hungry serpentine like eyes neither demanding nor denying obedience. 5 defined paths lead past the open pools and towards the inner chambers of the place: signs directing guests to their desired style of comfort. Along the paths, carved statues of various forms and shapes sit between archways while within the open pools, pedestals sit with models on display in various poses and positions either sharing their divine naked glory or bodies painted to match or compliment their support. The staff seem to stand at the ready providing food, drink and any other needed comfort, bodies adorned in shiny harness, dresses made of chains and other luxurious jewelry. All are welcome to unwind, shed all inhibitions and give into the call of t̸̐̿h̵͘͝ě̵̃ ̵̧̉m̶͐͐ỉ̵̈s̶̉tress
Deeper within the baths, hidden ways away from the prying eyes of the general public, sits an Obsidian archway leading down dimly lit stairway with a carved sign above it reading “The Oracles’ den”, two ever present and vigilant guards stand at the entryway with two empty black pedestals aside them. Golden plaques sit with carefully, etched writing: the words upon them constantly shifting, each person reading something similar and different all at once: “Tit” and “Tat”, “Give” and “Take” “Fate” and “destiny”. Locals say down below, embraced by the fumes, resides the Oracles of t̸̐̿h̵͘͝ě̵̃ ̵̧̉m̶͐͐ỉ̵̈s̶̉̔t̵͌͘r̴̐ess : the divine seers’ eyes and minds opened by the gifts of the sands. The acolytes work within the bath house as part of their training and devotion to their chosen path.
