General traits: Strong, Proud, Kind, Quick Tempered, Dependable, Stubborn

Mannerism: Rakan is self assured, he knows he is strong, he knows he is capable, he knows he is desirable. He is kind generally but full of himself. His work is quite valuable to him. He is very doting on his husband. He is kind until disrespected then he maintains the appearance of cordiality. Unless his husband is insulted at which points it immediately turns to threats of violence.

Speech patterns: Drawl and southern hospitality. Deep voice and commanding presence. Often speaks in a diminutive way. Likes to use pet names. (Voice I think early Fjord from critical role)

Speech example: “Hey there little lady, careful around some of those restraints. Few of them don’t come off just from pullin. Why don’t you come on over here and tell me what it is you’re lookin for here, I’ll see what I can do for ya. No need to be shy.” “Woah there friend, simmer down and talk slower, I know it’s exciting but I can’t understand what you’re saying at that speed. What’s happenin?” “You know I can’t say I’ve ever made stocks for someone with limbs that vary in size. But I can’t say the challenge isn’t intriguing, now show me what you’re capable of and I’ll get some measurements.”

Bond: 1. Obviously his husband. Others to be determined

Quirk: Stone coats much of their body in armor, they have incredible influence over stone in a wide area around them and will simply transform it to their desire occasionally walking through their counter or walls or summoning a chair from the ground beneath their feet to sit on just by will and gesticulation (think earth bender)

Values: Insults to himself? His home? His manners? Nothing but a laugh. Insults to his work as a craftsman? That will leave him testy and less than friendly. Insult to his husband or relationship? Immediate threat of violence that will be followed through on should the person not vacate quickly or apologize

Secret/Hook: 1. His husband and him will occasionally find someone they like who is interested in indulging their kidnapping/rescue mission RP kinks. 2. Rare and unusual materials to work with are always enthusiastically received and he may offer discounts to those willing to retrieve some for him. 3. He was raised in a clan of raiders and has a bad history with his moral failings in the past. He deeply regrets the innocent lives he claimed and sometimes the memories of that time overwhelm him. He is very careful to avoid killing of at all possible.

Threatened: “Don’t be a damn fool. You don’t have what it takes to handle me. Not get out of my shop before I show you first hand.” Confident, proud and dismissive of anyone he perceives as weaker, anyone on his level he is willing to face head on. What his isn’t though is stupid and knows when he is outmatched.

Flirted with: Very receptive to all flirtation and willing to go further with someone who is more submissive oriented or just wants it rough so long as he can top. For D types he will occasionally point them in the direction of his husband of he gets a good feeling from them. Usually with a joke about giving him back in mostly one piece.

Asked for help: Information wise he will give everything he has. Knowledge is free and conversation is enjoyable. As for someone needing him to step in and do something he is more reserved. If it’s small and within his power he will typically do so. But larger efforts and grand gestures he needs convincing. Much more interested in protecting someone from harm than trying to track down a danger. It’s largely about how it’s framed.
