Bending Seas

Beyond the flooded corridors of the Siren's Grotto, and the Port of Smuggler's Cove, swirls an ever twisting sea of storms. The Bending Seas are an infinite expanse of spiraling waves, where even the laws of physics no longer seem to apply. The ocean crashes, and spirals in all directions with deadly waves that blend seamlessly into thundering stormclouds. Up and down have no meaning here, and the rare patches of stormy midnight sky shift with the ever-churning tides. To sail into the seas without guide is to most assuredly become lost forever, as only an enchanted heart-compass offers any hope of guiding a ship to port. Deep beneath the waves, massive shadows echo the call of monsters native to no moral sea. Enormous Krakens and fiendish Sea Dragonsdwarf in comparison to the true terrors: Eldritch beasts who's many suckered tentacles are but a shadowy projections of creatures too titanic to comprehend. But rest assured: the many wrecks and jagged toothy isles dotted across the infinite expanse of ocean contain a god's ransom in wealth and treasure. Those brave or foolish enough to seek fortune in these waters tell tales of ancient treasures and unimaginable booty. Cursed ships of phantom pirates guard riches beyond imagining, and Star-Lost Illithid patrol the waters in search of final escape form their watery prison.
