Aur is a deity archfey changeling, their appearance is ever changing based on how they desire to appear, they always strive to be friendly and helpful, though, recently their personality is showing a different side of them, as their powers, and their domains, begin to settle in place, and they learn more of what it means to be what they are.
History
Aur was born a rare changeling upon Erde, one of the only ones known among a planet populated by only humans, and the odd mutant, which officially was what the newborn was designated. Abandoned by their parents before they had any memories, they were left one gift, a plain clear crystal.
They started growing up in an orphanage in Hamelin, assumed where they were born, as strange looks and ability to change their forms began to be noticed. They were 'adopted', presented a contract to sign, and became a key asset for the NeoCharm Instrumental Channel Enterprise and Cooperation, otherwise known as NICE Corp. They underwent training on how to morph and change their body to fit what was directed of them, they learned to act, to sing, to play instruments, and be a all around entertainer and star who could bend themselves, change themselves to fit any role, any vocal range.
There was also the personality training, how to smile, how to not show anger or sadness in public, only when acting. Taught how drinking was evil, smoking was evil, saying mean things was evil, thoughts of bad things were evil, anything that made them less then the perfect not to themselves, but to the needs of the NICE Corp for a beloved actor and spokesperson.
As if that were not hard enough, they awoken to their psionic powers, their mind becoming a conduit for other minds without even knowing what caused their powers, worse, the more one tried to repress their thoughts, the louder it ran in Aur's head, and they had no idea that the thoughts were coming from others. To protect themselves, they began to erect mental walls, forcing the thoughts, the beliefs, the lessons of what was evil, no matter how harmless or innocent into a thoughtform, an artificial creation in their mind. One that could take control of them.
Though in seeking to manage the thoughts, Aur turned to meditation, then self hypnosis, and life continued, things seemed to be fine on the outside, but their trauma built up, internally they were a mess, and it was in this turmoil when they managed a moment to sleep alone in a green room prior to a late night talk show, a nap they would not wake up from, at least, not in their own world, this was they moment they entered Paradisium.
They woke and ushered into a gameshow, and despite meeting some close friends in Corbin and Asesu, the gameshow was a rather embarrassing start for them. but their time in the dungeon started to be nice for them, they met godesses and gods from other realities, dragons, and all sorts of folks settled into a life without technology, learned to control their powers, and fell in love.
The problem is, the one they fell in love with was already in a relationship, one that was closed, and so they contented to just be a friend. When that person was targeted by a scheming ice-fox, they were drugged, ready to be used as a pawn, instead, the thoughtform they created took control, acted out of anger and malicious, and got their revenge. However, it was not without repercussion, and Aur started to be treated in therapy in the first Clinic, where they also took a job helping with various projects, once again involved with technology, but also getting the help they needed.
There was a return to good days, Aur once again met with one of the goddesses and gods they met before, and due to their connection, she granted them a boon, the growth of wings, not just simple wings, but rewriting them genetically, to make them the first of a race of winged changelings. Another notable time was the dragon Vasuki creating them an outfit of magical mana infused cloth, able to be changed and controlled as easily as their own flesh.
Then a second event, targeted Corbin, which was even worse, as one of the dragons they had met, Firras, decided to abduct the one Aur fell in love with, to use as a pawn to gain control and power over other dragons. This had lead Aur to preparing an army over a year, ready to take a fight against the dragon, and rescue Corbin. However, those years were marked with their own tragedies, the loss of lovers, and, when it was told that they would die should they go forward with confronting Firras, they 'checked out' of Paradisium.
Aur was said to have left the dungeon, and they took the name, the singular form of Isra, burying themselves, repressing their feelings, their desires, their relationships, and lived for a a time. However, it was when they were alone, putting together a memento of their time with Corbin, a magical mirrored mask that they used shortly before the abduction. With a flash of magic, Aur was cursed, they would back out, repressing themselves as thoughtforms created from those who had impacted their life, for good and ill, would rise, and take control, tormenting those around them, or acting as friendly but not-them personalities.
During the events of the The Pirate Abductions they were abducted, and when remove curse was cast upon them the personalities began to merge, creating new torments for them and others, until they went to have the curse fully removed, and while the curse was removed, something was woken within them, a spark of divinity risked destroying them, but, they barely managed to hold on, and awoken as a true deity in the dungeon, the first one not from outside of Paradisium, at least, the first one in the modern age that was known.
Now, they work to understand themselves, their power, and to find a place and a way to be in Paraidisum as they are now. Powerful enough to empower warlocks and clerics, the limits of their powers unknown to them, as they seek everything they can to adjust, while also living their life and running their therapist practice.
