A soldier and lord of his world, Lord Blackmore was the instrument of massive destruction to save multiple crystal spheres, but in doing so became a pariah before ultimately ending up in Paradisium.
History
Born a bastard child on a planet in a crystal sphere he does not talk about, Blackmore went to university on the condition of becoming a soldier in the Astral Navy, and upon graduation, entered shortly before war broke out against a Wanderingspace, a Crystal Sphere that had began to move though Wildspace and destroying other crystal spheres completely.
He rose in the ranks, serving the Nine Aligned Spheres directly as a plan was established to end Wanderingspace, using a fleet and a single commander to act as a conduit they planned to trike a decisive blow. However, the Nine Aligned Spheres were not unified in the decision, but the plan went forward.
Dio Blackmore was given a promotion to fleet commander, as he was chosen to be the conduit due to 'unique compatibility'. Wanderingspace was tracked, it was obvious in its movements, consuming Tal'sil Sphere and Mournful Fall Sphere, and so the plan was to intercept and deal the blow.
Becoming the conduit, they channeled massive amounts of magical energy, arcane, divine, and primal magics, of course, but too did raw magic flow through prepared nodes, psionic magics focusing all into one goal, the magic burned away humanity, changed him into something not human in human form, three planets imploded as the nodes upon them collapsed, the psionic backlash killed many, the magic changed worlds and spheres, Wildspace, the Phlogiston, and all the crystal spheres was extensive, far more then planned. However, Wanderingspace was no more.
So in his world, the name Blackmore spread. Lord Blackmore, granted title, power, and wealth to keep silent and accept his role as scapegoat. Lord Blackmore, the three world killer. Lord Blackmore, the bringer of genocide to Wandering Space. Lord Blackmore, a monster of myth in the form of man.
So it should not have come as a surprise, but his position was betrayed, they tried to execute him but in the ways he was changed, they failed, but that did not stop those who came after him from eventually ending his current consciousness, his soul rendered out, his skin flayed, his bones stripped, his mind removed, he was locked into a morgue for study, each piece kept isolated, separate for study. Somehow, that morgue wound up connected into the Institute Undercrofts, where he was freed by Saelin and Vincent letting all five pieces be opened, unlocked able to remerge.
Dio Blackmore was thus assembled in the dungeon, alive and themselves, as the enter Paradisium, for good or ill is yet to be known.
Personality
Dio Blackmore, or as he will introduce himself to most people, Lord Blackmore, wears the mask of his lordship over his true personality. Cold and indifferent at best, a hint of cruelty, speaking of his crimes, letting it be known he is no longer human, and a monster, as is the role he had to play for the last many years of his life.
However, beneath this, he is still the bastard child that simply wanted to do right, to help. Without the mask, as Dio Blackmore, he is willing to split work evenly, be more honest and open.
A quirk of his prior reality is that gender expression is not in line with the majority of other worlds. Men are expected to wear skirts or dresses to keep their legs free and able to move around, to ensure they are unrestrained, they wear light clothes to use magical projections for armor. Men are expected to make themselves presentable for women, to show off their good grooming and enhance their traits with delicate makeup and healthy hair, to show they have both the financial means and steady hands required to present themselves well, meanwhile women wear pants since they need to protect themselves more from the environment, they present a natural face as to show their true beauty and not cover it in makeup, the exceptions are those who join the front lines. This has left Blackmore struggling to adjust to him being seen as a 'perfect femboy', and not thinking of everyone else as crossdressing.
