Vivi VanDamme, Queen of Afterlife
Vivian's kingdom was run by the women of the family, and though her mother the Queen had her as a boy, she was happily and consentually raised as a woman through her own wishes. The princess worked hard from an early age getting to know as many people as she could in the kingdom, giving out her royal allowance to help those that needed it most, and to aide where she could making her mother's kingdom better. Well-liked and adorable, the princess would make a fine queen one day.
That day never came. Though the princess was wise, she was mostly unaware of the politics of her kingdom. Two rival nations on either of their borders lead an invasion, each deciding to claim half of their land and drive and route the current occupants out. The queen was slaughtered in the first week, and the streets ran red with the blood of the townspeople. The princess herself was cornered and slaughtered after weeks of trying to hide and regroup.
Death cannot hold a true monarch, however. She forced her soul back into her body, and drank deeply from the aura of evil and death that suffused her kingdom during the conflict. She raised her slaughtered kingdom one at a time, her love for her subjects too great to leave them to the afterlife. She created an army of undead, and took back her lands after months and months of conflict. Everyone would be her subjects, none would be spared her fury.
