Unlike others, he knew about the rum, and would not have drank it willingly, however, it was presented to him during a gathering of others, and when he woke up, he asked who brought the rum. Without hesitation, he beat the ignorant tourist to death in the hold before the lights ever came on. Ever since he has remained a uniquely brutal task master, the one hint of softness comes around Sue, but, it is hard to tell how earnest that feeling is at times.

After attacking Sue for betraying him, he turned his attention to killing Lucien. However, when Vayas intervened, he was pushed overboard, and is presumed dead.
