The Salamander Hot Springs are located in Paradisium, in a deep cavern outside of the Market Town, it is a place of place of rest, relaxation and restoration. The waters here are known to have mild restorative and healing properties, which draws even those with private baths to the chamber. Stone partitions provide separation of the large hot springs for some private activities, or to separate between the genders for those who desire such privacy. Throughout the hot spring cavern are decorative skies in the form of beautiful bio luminescent plants and fungi, simulating an ever shifting night sky full of colorful twinkling stars.

Outside of the actual hot springs the cavern also features massage tables, an open bar, and saunas for visitors to enjoy, all tended to by humanoid creatures known as salamanders. Strangely, the care and attention they give their guests is made without requirement for any forms of direct payment, besides the towels and soaps, an array of various massage oils and aphrodisiacs are always kept in stock.

Description
Whatever this room once was, it was certainly intended for an audience. And it seems more than a few have made it their home over the years. The curtains are tattered and worn, but rich and deep, and they wrap around a semicircular stage with coliseum style seating. Rather than chairs there are dusty pillows and exotic throws, inside padded recesses somewhere between a seating nook and an extravagant bed. Each of the 15 or so could fit 6 people easily. The stage can be seen from anywhere in the chamber, and and array of colored crystals shines an aerie, yet seductive light upon the stage in shifting hues of purple, pink, and blue.

A sign, painted haphazardly over the worn, but plush theater reads "The Ole' Burlesque

Notable Location
;Backstage Burlesque:The backstage of the Theatre is not particularly large, considering the size of the show floor itself, but it is well decorated with hung silks and old silver mirrors, who's reflections seem almost too beautiful to be true. A few soft chairs and lounge-worthy seating, and a sigil carved into a stone archway that contains no door. Script beneath the sigils reads:

"I Must Be Seen" the veil becomes thin,<br \>
The doorway opens and the glamour within<br \>
Worn to perform for pleasure or sin<br \>
But be the warned, child mine, of foolish mistake<br \>
Never beyond shall these garments you take<br \>
The words become true in truest of sense<br \>
And the body that wears them shall obey always hence<br \>
Never more to be hidden, only seen to perform."<br \>

Special Rules
Speaking or writing upon the skin the phrase "I Must Be Seen" opens up a special back room with an endless array of costumes and invisible servants to prepare one for the stage, preparing makeup, tailoring, finding the perfect costume, providing instruments, and anything else needed. However, a curse prevents removal of these from the Burlesque, any attempt causes the garments and props to vanish, and the one seeking to remove it will be cursed with a need for exhibitionism, and unable to wear clothes.

The floor here is uneven, made of several stone blocks that can raise and lower by a clever series of levers, and the whole room is lit by floating orbs of light. Patrons can use this area to spar with each other, or with savage monsters that the Mistress brings in.

Description
A elliptical amphitheater just outside the city, the Sparring Pit, as it has been come to known, is constructed mostly of limestone, opus caementicium, and tuff, and despite some damage the sturdy construction is still used, with rooms for private spars, rooms set aside for training and storage of training equipment included blunted weapons and padded armor.

The center is set up to allow for various spars, stone blocks can be adjusted by a mix of artifice and gnomish engineering allowing the floor to raise, or lower in sections, a track on the outside has shown wear from racing, and all around from the center one can see the stands for the spectators looking down.

Here, those who seek to test, prove, or train martial prowess come. Sometimes, spars will include those of less martial abilities, sometimes wrestling and 'wrestling' happen in the view of cheering crowds, or sometimes just private viewings. A carving to every entrance to the arena shows a simple picture of a centaur in the nude, three blocks shown, with each block being followed by words 'Think' 'Speak' 'Consent' written in multiple languages next to each.

The Wild Gardens is the green areas of the Verdant Caverns that grow under the presence of the Sun Crystals, the most common version is dense jungles, but there are thinner patches of forests and the rare clearing or special grove. While large caverns are much more common in this area, there are interconnected tunnels and smaller caverns as well, as well as some unusual features. While it can be dangerous to the unwary traveler, it is fairly safe overall, particularly with the Vespids being willing to aid travelers.

Description
The cavern before you becomes brighter with something not seen in a while: sunlight. Upon closer inspection, large golden crystals growing on the ceiling are emitting it. The stone path turns to moss before opening up into a large antechamber so tall you can barely see the ceiling, the crystals above turning into miniature suns accompanied by their smaller siblings. The air turns humid and the temperature increases, but most importantly, the antechamber is filled to the brim with plants, looking more like a jungle than a garden.

Sliding down from the entrance, you lose the sight of the horizon and the jungle takes over. Millions of plants refusing categorization from even the most expert botanists fill your eyes. The sounds of billions of animals living in between them fill your ears. The fragrances of countless flowers fill your nose.

But even in this dense jungle, you can spot groomed paths. They are narrow, winding themselves around natural obstacles instead of pushing through them; it is easy to miss them if you do not pay attention, easy to get lost and end up as a snack for lust-eating giant plant.
Giant Stump Settlement
:Breaking through a dense part of the jungle, explorers might find themselves in an area that has been cut down, a giant stump is centered among many other stumps providing a clearing with places to sit, the cutting seeming to have happened many years ago, yet the stumps do not show indication of rot. A fence surrounds the area, and various silks and webbing can be seen indicating presence. Women tend to small gardens and chores outside, under the protection of a matriarchal woman who calls herself Sakura. Inside the stump itself is a carved out settlement which offers shelter for those under her protection.

Lore Keeper Jessalyn: Changed wording to draining into the bending seas, instead of connecting into the bending seas.

The Verdant Caverns are a large expanse of land controlled by the Verdant Hive, a vespid monarchy currently ruled by Queen Katina, and aided by her sisters, having replaced the former queen Melora when she abdicated the throne to leave Paradisium.

The Verdant Caverns are made up of a massive large central cavern, as well as multiple caverns and tunnels of varying heights along the main cavern and even some 'caves' in the main cavern itself, and is made of three distinct major biomes. Through all the area fresh water rivers, and the occasional lake can be found, all flowing inevitably to the Sirens Grotto, various black sand grottos on a massive salt water lake that ultimately drains into the Bending Seas.

The Wild Gardens is the main cavern, and a few of the smaller offshoots, and is most often a dense humid jungle, though some areas are thick forests and the odd clearing. Sunlight shines every hour of the day, though through the darkest parts of the dense jungles it can allow for movement of those who are affected negatively by the light if they are careful.

The areas known as Twilight Groves are areas in isolated caverns or in the caves and under the mounds of the Wild Gardens. Gravel and stone provide home for various lichen and fungus that grow, some sending massive mushrooms that rival trees, or cover the ground in soft dark green. Some lack moon crystals all together at times. One cavern is of particular note, having constant moonlight equivalent of a full moon and area enough for those who are affected by the light of the moon to prowl and run freely.

The Isle of Avalon is a strange existence, existing in a perfect crossroad, where it is evenly bordered by the Wild Gardens, Twilight Groves, Sirens Grotto, and the Haunted Hollows, making it a perfect place for Fae trickery.

A few other locations are specially tailored, somewhere in the caverns and jungles is known to be the Verdant Hive itself, a special cavern has been tailored to bring the jungle right up to the sandy beaches that make up Mermaid Cove Resort.

The final major area that falls under the Verdant Hive's rulership is the Honeydew Valley, connected by a steep cliff that drops from the largest of the Wild Garden's cavern, they are allowed to rule as a semi-autonomous state, able to manage itself with little interference.

Notable Figures
;Puck:An archfey that moves about the Wild Gardens, Twilight Groves, and Siren's Grotto, however she also very much avoids the Isle of Avalon. She is mischievous, often speaks in rhymes which brings to her a level of distrust, but she truly likes helping people and being kind in the end. She also hides the fact that is an archfey, presenting to any who cannot tell as little more then a sprite or fairy.
Aur is a deity archfey changeling, their appearance is ever changing based on how they desire to appear, they always strive to be friendly and helpful, though, recently their personality is showing a different side of them, as their powers, and their domains, begin to settle in place, and they learn more of what it means to be what they are.

History
Aur was born a rare changeling upon Erde, one of the only ones known among a planet populated by only humans, and the odd mutant, which officially was what the newborn was designated. Abandoned by their parents before they had any memories, they were left one gift, a plain clear crystal.

They started growing up in an orphanage in Hamelin, assumed where they were born, as strange looks and ability to change their forms began to be noticed. They were 'adopted', presented a contract to sign, and became a key asset for the NeoCharm Instrumental Channel Enterprise and Cooperation, otherwise known as NICE Corp. They underwent training on how to morph and change their body to fit what was directed of them, they learned to act, to sing, to play instruments, and be a all around entertainer and star who could bend themselves, change themselves to fit any role, any vocal range.

There was also the personality training, how to smile, how to not show anger or sadness in public, only when acting. Taught how drinking was evil, smoking was evil, saying mean things was evil, thoughts of bad things were evil, anything that made them less then the perfect not to themselves, but to the needs of the NICE Corp for a beloved actor and spokesperson.

As if that were not hard enough, they awoken to their psionic powers, their mind becoming a conduit for other minds without even knowing what caused their powers, worse, the more one tried to repress their thoughts, the louder it ran in Aur's head, and they had no idea that the thoughts were coming from others. To protect themselves, they began to erect mental walls, forcing the thoughts, the beliefs, the lessons of what was evil, no matter how harmless or innocent into a thoughtform, an artificial creation in their mind. One that could take control of them.

Though in seeking to manage the thoughts, Aur turned to meditation, then self hypnosis, and life continued, things seemed to be fine on the outside, but their trauma built up, internally they were a mess, and it was in this turmoil when they managed a moment to sleep alone in a green room prior to a late night talk show, a nap they would not wake up from, at least, not in their own world, this was they moment they entered Paradisium.

They woke and ushered into a gameshow, and despite meeting some close friends in Corbin and Asesu, the gameshow was a rather embarrassing start for them. but their time in the dungeon started to be nice for them, they met godesses and gods from other realities, dragons, and all sorts of folks settled into a life without technology, learned to control their powers, and fell in love.

The problem is, the one they fell in love with was already in a relationship, one that was closed, and so they contented to just be a friend. When that person was targeted by a scheming ice-fox, they were drugged, ready to be used as a pawn, instead, the thoughtform they created took control, acted out of anger and malicious, and got their revenge. However, it was not without repercussion, and Aur started to be treated in therapy in the first Clinic, where they also took a job helping with various projects, once again involved with technology, but also getting the help they needed.

There was a return to good days, Aur once again met with one of the goddesses and gods they met before, and due to their connection, she granted them a boon, the growth of wings, not just simple wings, but rewriting them genetically, to make them the first of a race of winged changelings. Another notable time was the dragon Vasuki creating them an outfit of magical mana infused cloth, able to be changed and controlled as easily as their own flesh.

Then a second event, targeted Corbin, which was even worse, as one of the dragons they had met, Firras, decided to abduct the one Aur fell in love with, to use as a pawn to gain control and power over other dragons. This had lead Aur to preparing an army over a year, ready to take a fight against the dragon, and rescue Corbin. However, those years were marked with their own tragedies, the loss of lovers, and, when it was told that they would die should they go forward with confronting Firras, they 'checked out' of Paradisium.

Aur was said to have left the dungeon, and they took the name, the singular form of Isra, burying themselves, repressing their feelings, their desires, their relationships, and lived for a a time. However, it was when they were alone, putting together a memento of their time with Corbin, a magical mirrored mask that they used shortly before the abduction. With a flash of magic, Aur was cursed, they would back out, repressing themselves as thoughtforms created from those who had impacted their life, for good and ill, would rise, and take control, tormenting those around them, or acting as friendly but not-them personalities.

During the events of the The Pirate Abductions they were abducted, and when remove curse was cast upon them the personalities began to merge, creating new torments for them and others, until they went to have the curse fully removed, and while the curse was removed, something was woken within them, a spark of divinity risked destroying them, but, they barely managed to hold on, and awoken as a true deity in the dungeon, the first one not from outside of Paradisium, at least, the first one in the modern age that was known.

Now, they work to understand themselves, their power, and to find a place and a way to be in Paraidisum as they are now. Powerful enough to empower warlocks and clerics, the limits of their powers unknown to them, as they seek everything they can to adjust, while also living their life and running their therapist practice.
Puck is a tiny, mischievous 'terror' living in the Twilight Groves, but can also be seen elsewhere in the Verdant Caverns or rarely out among the rest of Paradisium. She uses typical word trickery and demands of behavior to take adventurers are pets. She speaks in rhyme, typically a simple a,a inline rhyme, but will intone or used a,b,a,b,c,c, a,b,a,b, and other rhymes as required and desired. Her words and motions can bring limited affects to reality, including minor curses. She is willing to let her pets go and be free after a time, as long as they do not upset her greatly, or break to many rules.

She is part of a group of other owners and trainers, which provide transformative items to assist with pet play, but the food also drains away the intelligence of those who eat it to a beasts level. Repeated or over consumption of these items will leave a near permanent (breakable by wish) affect, otherwise, they wear off after a long rest, or, in cases of mild over doses, 1d8+2 days.

Despite how she seems, she actually cares for others, and wishes to assist them, and can be easily hurt when the worst is always assumed of her. Secretly she is an Archfey, but she prefers to appear more of a tiny normal fairy.

Connections
She is known to be an Archfey by the Seelie Queen Papaver Somniferum, the Unseelie Queen More, and Aur due to having participated in the ceremony to establish the Isle of Avalon, however she stays far away from it, having no interest in the Fae courts, though she holds no particular grudge to the courts that exist.
Description
A massive structure of wax, propolis, a hardened almost amber like materials, and treated woods. The structure looks perhaps like a manor, made of flat lines and rigid structure, the front entrance is off the ground with a ramp leading up to the entrance, chains stretching down able to pull the door up. Inside the structure is made of carefully laid out hexagonal rooms, providing everything from storage to bedrooms, and the throne room straight ahead upon entering. One might note that some of the cells are massive, large enough to house fully grown dragons.

The paths and order inside the hive seems disordered, to those not of the hive, it is a maze like structure consisting of many floors, rooms that can only be accessed by flight or climbing, and no sense of how to navigate. For the connected hive, it is impossible to get lost within the many cells of their home.

Through all the area fresh water rivers, and the occasional lake can be found, all flowing inevitably to the Sirens Grotto, various black sand grottos on a massive salt water lake that opens up into the Bending Seas.

The Twilight Groves, save for one large primary growth cavern are interspersed in caves or offshoot caverns among the Wild Gardens and off the coastal caverns of the Sirens Grotto in the Verdant Caverns. Some caverns are pitch black, others are lit by the glowing lichen or fungi within, but most are lit by various strengths of Moon Crystals, the main chamber having the power of a full moon, other chambers having different effects of waxing or waning moons, however the chambers never alter their intensity.

Description
Several of the smaller caves and pockets within these Verdant Caverns shift drastically in feel, as the crystals above turn silvery blue, shining down a moonlight glow, rather than the vibrant sunlight of the larger antechambers. The result is an entirely different ecosystem thriving inside the permanent moonlight of these groves; glowing fungi, nightshades, and a myriad of other plants yet to be categorized. Even the small pools of water that exist here, sourced by the rivers of the garden, glow blue in the dark, perhaps the result of some strange algae living in them, or maybe due to an entirely different and more magical reaction.

History
The Twilight Groves are old, but younger then the Wild Gardens. As the Verdant Hive grew itself, had more converts, and grew the Wild Gardens, it found among its ranks some Crystal Keepers that bore the curses of Hemovore and Therainthrope and when they went to grow Sun Crystals, the crystals instead corrupted, glowing a silvery blue instead, under these silvery-blue crystals it was found that plants of darkness grew better, that certain life thrived better in the moonlight, and so they began to dedicate part of their land, and smaller caves and caverns, to these crystals and grows, creating the Twilight Groves as they exist now.

Description
The guarded stairs head down under the Institute Center building, the stone walls and large arches that support the building stretch seemly forever into the distance, heavy doors set into the walls, some locked, some open, some rusted out. Within some, noises of captured creatures occasionally fill the halls.

Within the halls, magics are corrupted from their original purpose, some by the influence of the dungeon, lewd and lustful, but others, originally intended to be useful, protective or simple wards corrupted to be potentially fatal, among the creatures down here, oozes, elementals, constructs, plants, and a few monstrosities and aberrations are known to be lurking based on prior reports.

Still there are likely treasures to be found, among the junk, storage, and risks. However, the Institute is not responsible for harms brought by exploration.

Functional Information
The Undercrofts always leads down into a hexagonal landing, with arches leading down halls on all six walls. However, each time a new group enters, the hallways may be randomly covered by arcane tape preventing entry to any number of the hallways, though, no one has yet to find a time all passages were locked down.

Each time a hallway is explored, it is different then the hallways before, though some common features are various doors with many different styles and ways of labelling. While yet to be realized by the staff of the Institute, or the characters exploring is every room is tied to study or advancement originally before finding their way tethered to hallway.

History
InstituteHistory

An early expedition into the halls, Nyx and Lucilla entered to recover a relic stone, came across a room with a strange machine. Caught in a time barrier, during their exploration they came across a machine that took up almost an entire room, takes up the entire room, gears clicking, magic humming, artifice and magic in the air with an hour glass, half full, with the sands seem still, at least, for a moment, until a single grain drops, slowly, like the air itself is slowing the sand drop, as the magical contraption does... whatever it is doing. They had decided to destroy it, Nyx, using a an Echo, and Lucilla pouring her magic into an attack, causing the Echo to become form for temporal and arcane energy, becoming Chorno.

Another notable journey into the Undercroft consisted of Chrono leading a group consisting of Vincent, Saelin, Kane, and Firah Culnak. The group's travels wound up bringing them to the library to exit, however, they brought two findings out of the Undercroft with them. Saelin, now a Warlock to the machine spirit Lady_Indigo brought out a slate and glass tablet, giving her a greater foothold into Paradisium. The second finding they brought out with them, was found in a morgue, a person that was separated and stored locked up bones, flesh, spirit, and organs, but having been freed, they came to form Dio Blackmore, letting him into the Paradisium as well.

Description
The grounds of the institute are on the other side of Library of Carnal Knowledge, on the side of the once hidden grand entrance of the Library of Carnal Knowledge, directly ahead in the same style is the façade of the main college building. A fountain sits between the two buildings, path circling around it, and grass and benches providing multiple options to sit and talk. The grass underfoot does not seem to be able to survive elsewhere, nor the trees, and instead of the green of most plans, or even other solid colors, the plants is a dynamic pattern of dim radiant lights that change between curtains, rays, spirals, dynamic flickers, or other auras through the growths. Another path goes off to the right ending into stone, perhaps something yet remains hidden, another path heads towards the wizarding towers.

The fountain itself bares a center statue, an Avoral in a sharp suit, above them, a shinning burning ball of energy. Although the light is bright and warm, it carries no effects of the sun or moon, yet the grass underfoot seems to thrive. Now and again, whisps of lost or stray magic from students, or other sources, can be traced, swallowed and consumed by the energy. Casting magic in the area feels a bit more difficult, sluggish, but nothing impossible.

Above the door to the Institute building is set the stone crest of the institute appears split into four sections upon fields of white, the separation appears to be done in the style of a waving banner, some sort of archaic text written across it. Each section is adorned with a different charge, illustrating a unique magical concept, although the original meanings have been lost: two Wands or staves each with a bulbus orb at one end and crossed as if in duel, a tome of arcane knowledge, emblazoned with symbolic lettering upon it's open pages, a shape not unlike a revolver in silhouette, but of more... bulbus nature, with a crystal clearly extending where the hammer might be, and a symbolic representation of the philosopher's stone, held within a beaker.

The Artificial Sun
The burning ball of energy has been called an artificial sun, though it carries none of the magical properties of such. While plant life seems to thrive in the area, it is notable that plants brought from outside struggle to survive, and plants brought to other parts of the dungeon die off.

Another notable property of the Artificial Sun is that magic performed under its light feels sluggish and slow to react, it tends to be weaker and wild magic never seems to sparks out. Those who get closer to the artificial sun will find magical items and spells cease to work.

The working hypothesis by Lazuli is that the artificial sun is a safety measure to prevent otherwise out of control magic from being let loose, particularly with the number of living magic spells that were in the area before it was re-enabled. However, the affects on the plant life, and the nature of the energy it produces, and the actual methods involved are all on Lazuli's list of items to study.
Funding an expedition, she saw the excavation of the 'back' of the library, reveling a more decorative entrance, and directed further digging.

Lazuli had to get help multiple times from adventurers, from having to rescue the dig team, which lead to an open cavern where the Institute Grounds were discovered behind a shield. Institute itself, as well as five strange pillars reaching from ground to ceiling, which were dubbed the Wizarding Towers would not be accessible until a set of crests were recovered, which represented the school, and placed back upon the keystones of the gate and doorway over the building.

A year on, she saw the construction of a smaller building, The Institute Bookstore, which would sell supplies for the students, as well as provide scribing opportunities for low level spell scrolls to reduce the burden from Runar while providing experience and work for some of the students interested in such endeavors.

Recently, exploration has been going on in the Institute Undercroft, a spiraling maze of everchanging rooms and hallways, while little seems to make sense of it, and returning to rooms seems impossible after leaving, one thing has remained consistent, every room, even if it is not clear to those exploring, was once dedicated to teaching or discovery.

The Crest of the Institute
The stone crest is separated into four sections upon fields of white, the separation appears to be done in the style of a waving banner, some sort of archaic text written across it. Each section is adorned with a different crest, each with a different charge concerning a magical concept, although the exact specifics are unknown to those in Paraidisum they are of the following designs and meanings:
* A tome of arcane knowledge, emblazoned with symbolic lettering upon it's open pages to represent study.
* The alchemical symbol for the philosopher's stone in a beaker to represent the study of nature.
* Two wizard staffs crossed to express the duality of magic as offensive and defensive arts.
* An Arcane Blaster, to represent the artifice of magic and technology as one.

The text upon the banner is an unknown language, the fact that attempts to use comprehend language to understand it indicates that the text is either cyphered in some way, a set of otherwise unknown glyphs, a combination of both as the words cannot be understood.

The glyphs upon the arcane known in the crest are likewise unknown, but those sensitive to, or well studied in magic will have a vague understanding that they are some representation of magic itself.

Notable Locations
The Institute Bookstore
Reconstructed by Lazuli to provide easy purchasing of lower power scrolls and supplies without having to go to Market Town, and providing scribing jobs for wizards to ease the burdens from Runar, the building fits well with the Library and the Institute of Lecherous Learning buildings, having been commissioned to look as if it was of the same era and material. There is also a small selection of ready to eat and low preparation foods, and a variety of experimental beverages for the students.
After what feels like a lifetime of dreaming, it's hard for the two to accept that the day is finally here. Their own pet shop, opened with the help of wonderful community in the dungeon they have both come to call home. With a roll of the eyes, and a knowing smile, the dark-skinned teifling nods, and her bubbly Tabaxi wife eagerly flips the sign and opens the doors.

The inside of the large corner store is decorated in a friendly and familiar manner, without a spec of dust or a dog-biscuit out of place, and Kitty has added her own colorful flair with hand-drawn signs and bright paintings of the pair's own furry children. Every animal is kept in as spacious an enclosure as possible, and those who can be trusted roam the store freely, chirping and barking happily at customers or rubbing up against their legs in search of affection.
He looks mildly suspicious but leads him into the circle. "Hello Sir Cornelius my new friend and companion.

The Verdant Hive was established by a Circle of Swarms Druid before Verdant Caverns were known by that name, instead it was like much of the dungeon, a forgotten hall with sparse bits of life.

The druid, to help keep himself sane, used her powers to help the vegetation grow, and, after a time polymorphed herself into the first Vespid Queen of the dungeon, and from there spawned the hive.

The hive took responsibility for the caverns, taking sunstones and moonstones from adventurers, and using them as a primitive starts to seed the growth of the magnificent crystals that now provide light and nourishment in The Verdant Caverns.

A special guard is appointed to protect and nourish the continued growth of these crystals.

The makeup of the hive is a caste system of the Queen, Princesses, Crystal Tenders, Elites, Warriors, and Drones, made of an insectoid hivemind that can operate as individuals or directed by the current Queen.

New members of the hive may be born from a fertile Queen in a natural birth, or as in the case of many of the current members of the hive, converted from humanoids.

The process involves sealing the convert into a honeycomb like chamber, submerging them in the Queen's Special Honey. Days to weeks later, they are released, having undergone physical and mental conversion into Vespids loyal to the hive.

Some converts will join the hive willingly, while the majority are converted forcibly. The unwilling converts are not randomly chosen, rather they are those who have made enemies of the hive or harmed The Verdant Caverns. The Hive, under currently leadership makes no move against average trespassers, and does not seek to take over the dungeon.

Due to the nature of conversion, Vespids of the hive may take on many varieties among the members.
The original name of the lake has been forgotten, though despite the legends it has always been a slightly salty lake due to back and forth sailing and exchange of water with the Bending Seas. It used to have many names, both to the sirens who lived there, and those who would visit, but has for the last few hundred years been known as Siren's Last Refuge.

The event that gave it is most famous name was a last stand of sirens, as a united force, against the armies of a new arrival to Paradisium, a demon lord of conquest. Their loss saw them subjugated, a fate they still are burdened with, to the whims of Conquest, lord of all those who dwell in the seas.

Sirens Grotto is the name of any of the caverns or borders in the Verdant Caverns that terminate upon the black sand shores of a massive underground lake, known as the Siren's Last Refuge, and it helps provide one of the first examples of the distorted landmasses of the dungeon, as you can find the same lake travelling in any direction, making it possible to travel out of one grotto, travel in a straight line, and enter a grotto that is a few feet away from the one you left by lake.

A housing district, Steppe Fjord was established in a more recently discovered grotto, and was built up in short order in perfectly arranged long houses and docked ships creating a theme park feel of an ancient Viking village.

Description
From the largest Sirens Grotto to the odd smaller chambers they all somehow open up to a an underground salt water lake that expands further then the line of sight. Black sand coasts lays littered with tiny sparkling gemstones, and the ever-present light of the sun or moon crystals overhead while, sometimes as blinding as looking directly at the crystals themselves. Many of the beaches are dotted with small rocky outcroppings almost like underground coral reefs, the lake stretches on far past what you can see. But beware, amongst the glowing corals and gently stirring waters are the wrecks of many a ship built to travers this underground lake and further into the Bending Seas beyond.

The Verdant Caverns are a large expanse of land controlled by the Verdant Hive, a vespid monarchy currently ruled by Queen Katiana, and aided by her sisters, having replaced the former queen Melora when she abdicated the throne to leave Paradisium.

The Verdant Caverns are made up of a massive large central cavern, as well as multiple caverns and tunnels of varying heights along the main cavern and even some 'caves' in the main cavern itself, and is made of three distinct major biomes. Through all the area fresh water rivers, and the occasional lake can be found, all flowing inevitably to the Siren's Cove, various black sand coves on a massive salt water lake that opens up into the Bending Seas.

A few other locations are specially tailored, somewhere in the caverns and jungles is known to be the |Verdant Hive itself, a special cavern has been tailored to bring the jungle right up to the sandy beaches that make up Mermaid Cove Resort.

The final major area that falls under the Verdant Hive's rulership is the Honeydew Valley, connected by a steep cliff that drops from the largest of the Wild Garden's cavern, they are allowed to rule as a semi-autonomous state, able to manage itself with little interference.

The Verdant Caverns are a large expanse of land controlled by the Verdant Hive, a vespid monarchy currently ruled by Queen Katiana, and aided by her sisters, having replaced the former queen Melora when she abdicated the throne to leave Paradisium.

History
Founded by the first Vespid Queen, a Circle of the Swarm Druid who was trapped in the dungeon who used their magic to begin to grow and strengthen the scant vegetation. As the Verdant Caverns, and the Verdant Hive grew, they became responsible for the growth of sunstone and moonstone crystals and the protection of the lands and crystals that became known as the Verdant Caverns.

Known Layout
The Isle of Avalon is located in the center of four convergent areas, being the crossroads between the Wild Gardens, Sirens Grotto, Twilight Groves, and Haunted Hollows.

The Wild Gardens and Twilight Groves border each other, and dot into each other depending on the crystals provided, both also border the Sirens Grotto as the rivers and lakes move down to the seas beyond.

The Wild Gardens is known to fade into the Haunted Hollows on in some areas, the trees dark and twisted under the growing influence of the Haunted Hollows. The border is monitored and protected.

The Sirens Grotto is part of the shorelines to the Bending Seas, if one follows the coast far enough, they can come across Smugglers Cove. Along the shoreline, a cave system has been carved out, providing access to the Steppe Fjord. On a smaller section of coast, almost completely enveloped in the jungle of the Wild Gardens is the Mermaid Cove Resort.

Honeydew Valley is has a few connections to various Kobold Dens, which provides border raids on food and for sexual conquest and a sharp cliff can theoretically be climbed to reach the Wild Gardens, the cliff is home to some variants of birds and aarakocra tribes, and is not an actual suitable method of travel for those who cannot fly. Finally, a stone bridge crosses a ravine to be able to transport goods to the Market Town.
A fireplace burns with a clean, bright fire, and above the mantle hang trophies - such as a pair of panties snatched from a mighty succubus matriarch, or a golden phallus recovered from deep within the kobold dens. A set of stairwells lead to additional levels. Up above, along a large balcony, are private rooms for parties preparing or returning form adventures. In the cellar below is what can be best described as a mix between prison and medical facility, where less successful adventurers can be found recovering from the enthrallments of their former captors.
At the far end of the hall, a polished wooden counter holds a set of books detailing some of the cataloged threats of the dungeon, with a board hung nearby to advertise rewards for necessary tasks, and lists adventurers presumed lost or captured by creatures deeper in the dungeon. Rewards are offered for many such adventures or rescues, both by the guild Itself, and sometimes by private backers seeking specific aid. Occasionally, Nubia herself can be found the counter here, but more often she is parading topples around her latest business venture with a flask of golden ale in her hand.

Lore Keeper Jessalyn: Lore Keeper Jessalyn moved page Library of Carnal Knowledge and the Institute of Lecherous Learning to Institute of Lecherous Learning: Making new primary page for the institute at large.

A sprawling educational complex partially buried into the edges of the cavern and stretching deeper yet away from the outskirts, the first building discovered of the complex was discovered when the Market Town Outskirts were mapped, being the Library of Carnal Knowledge, a sprawling library of books maintained by ghostly librarians, and while many of the books are of particularly steamy fiction or scandalous pictures, there are books for the researcher, if they know where and how to look.

Description
From the majority of Market Town the only thing one can see is the Library of Carnal Knowledge itself, only by going through the library, and out the back entrance can one emerge into the Institute Grounds, the closest building once you emerge is the Institute Bookstore, ahead at the other end is the Institute of Lecherous Learning itself, deep within one can explore the Institute Undercrofts. Off to the left, you can see the five towers known as Wizarding Towers.

History
Years after the founding of the Library of Carnal Knowledge, Lazuli found plans indicating a larger complex then the rather plain library existed.

Description
Past the grand doors of the Institute is an open entryway, a message board stands a bit in, offers of scribing services, or news about upcoming classes and lectures being posted, in the center of the board is a brilliant crest that reads the rules of the Institute of Lecherous Learning, the center point of all the rules being the consents of all those involved in the activities, be it the teaching, living, or praise.

Windows allow light in from the front courtyard, and heavy polished oak doors with plates identify various classrooms, while upstairs some indicate personal offices or store rooms. The marbled floors are cleaned and shine, each classroom is prepared in advanced to accommodate the teachers, students, and class that is being taught. One room is set aside, open to the public despite not being a classroom, instead it has been dedicated as a small chapel to a goddess known as Mystress.

The back of the building has another serries of doors leading to nothing but rock, once more a reminder that the institute may not be fully excavated, or, may have not fully entered Paradisium.

In the same cavern, or in rare cases in nearby caverns, of the Market Town Cavern the outskirts are outside of the dense city center that makes up the Market Town Center, though some of the buildings and establishments predate the Market Town, and others are their own functional communities.

Nearest the surface are the three oldest buildings, and those that predated the revealing of Market Town and were and still are an early welcome for many folks to Paradisium, those being the the Monster Girl Cantina, Salamander Hot Springs, and Ole Burlesque. In another cavern connected to the Market Town is the Harmonic Springs Wholistic Living Commune.

Near the Salamander Hot Springs, a recent seismic event has opened up a spiraling pathway down into Cozy Caverns, and further in closer to Market Town proper, a Sparing Pit has been set up, to provide access to the Town or Baths for those who need it.

Outside of the town proper is the Library of Carnal Knowledge, the only visible building of the larger complex of the Institute of Lecherous Learning. Only once you pass through or around Market Town, to the deepest part of the area, will you enter the final cavern where Plaava Nymbiose has been established.

History
If the Keepers of the Starseed existed before Consumption started to extend their dominance and control over it, or if it was founded purely by the rogue Exodermis is unknown, what is known is the Holy Reverend Mother became a central figure to a cult claimed to be chosen by the Mistress, the only goddess of Paraidisum and would slowly see all other religious and cults consumed or destroyed.

They had headquartered in the Cathedral of the Keepers, what has since become Plaava Nymbiose, until the events that caused the Fall of the Keepers. While many turned their back on the conspiracies and organization that was the Keepers of the Starseeds, seem kept their fanatical loyalty, and refused to abandon the ideals they held.

In the modern day, they seek to break members of other religions and cults, to force them back into what they consider the true path by any means necessary.
